Ancient Sagalassos
Sagalassos is an ancient city in southwestern Turkey, located on the slopes of Mount Akdag (1450–1700 m above sea level), 7 km from the town of Ağlasun and about 100 km from Antalya. Founded around 8000 BC, it is mentioned in Hittite documents dating back to 1400 BC. It was an important center of Pisidia during the Roman era, known as the "first city of Pisidia." Attractions include an amphitheater for 9,000 spectators, a nymphaeum with functioning ancient fountains, baths, an agora, and a library with a mosaic floor. The city suffered from earthquakes in the 6th–7th centuries, epidemics, and raids, was abandoned, and rediscovered in the 19th century. Excavations began in the 1990s, and restoration utilizes 80% of the original materials. It is suitable for leisurely strolls away from the crowds.
Kurshunlu Waterfall
Kurşunlu is a picturesque waterfall and nature park in the Aksu district, 20 km from central Antalya and 30 km from Belek. The waterfall is 18 meters high and forms seven small ponds within a 2-kilometer-long canyon.
