 You've probably seen this spot on almost every Turkish vacation brochure. The beach is nestled beneath a sheer cliff face and is famous for its green and turquoise waters. You can even see a distinct line between the two colors. After a fascinating excursion and stroll through the village of Kaş, you'll have about two hours of free time to enjoy this beautiful beach.

 Beach Features: Like many Turkish beaches, Kaputaş is surrounded by steep cliffs. Getting down to the shore requires climbing about two hundred steps. The stairs are not steep and comfortable, but still quite long for a stroller. The climb up, especially in the heat, is even more challenging.

 Beaches favored by tourists outside of resorts can sometimes be untamed, but Kaputaş is not one of them. It has everything you need for a comfortable vacation: sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, several changing rooms, showers, and restrooms. Visitors note that renting sun loungers here is more expensive than at many Turkish beaches. You can also relax on your own mat for free (if there's space—the bay is packed with vacationers during peak season). Changing rooms, restrooms, and showers are free for everyone. This small stretch of shoreline only has one café. It doesn't offer a full menu, but you can expect coffee, tea, soft drinks, and ice cream. Locals sometimes sell flatbreads and other street food on the beach. It's much safer to bring your own food and water when visiting this beach. There is no regular lifeguard service at Kaputaş, which is one of the reasons why the beach hasn't been awarded a Blue Flag. Meanwhile, vacationers say that during high season, lifeguards are still on duty on the shore.
