 Sagalassos is the only ancient city in the world with a functioning fountain with an ancient water supply system.

 Sagalassos is also called the "forgotten" or "lost city." But these names are hardly true anymore. Sagalassos today is a very beautiful, well-restored ancient city. Incidentally, 80% of the original materials were used in the city's reconstruction.

 Four fountains have been discovered in the city, two of which, after reconstruction, are functional and supplied with water by an ancient water supply system. The oldest dates back to the reign of Emperor Augustus (1st century BC). The city also boasts a beautiful library with a mosaic floor, a theater, rock tombs, an agora (central square), and much more.

 In Sagalassos you won't find crowds of tourist buses, so this place is perfect for a leisurely stroll and enjoying the ancient history.
