 Side is not only one of the most popular tourist regions on the Antalya coast, but also a major ancient city located in the center of the peninsula on the seashore. Incidentally, this region owes its name to this ancient city. A stroll through Side is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of antiquity. A Grand Theater for 15,000 spectators, fountains, colonnaded streets, Roman baths, agoras, Roman temples, and Byzantine churches… Today, for example, the columns of the Temple of Apollo are a modern symbol of Side, and their majesty only confirms this city's special status.
 
 Our walk will take us past all of Side's iconic landmarks—we won't miss a single ancient building or monument. You'll learn the city's history from its beginnings (7th century BC), its heyday (1st-2nd centuries AD), and its tragic end (7th century AD). The Manavgat Waterfall is the region's second-most significant tourist attraction after Side itself. It's 40 meters wide and 2 meters high. But given that the river is always full, the waterfall is beautiful at any time of year, even during the hot summer months. Incidentally, the Manavgat Waterfall was featured on the 5-lira banknote in 1968.
